A shooting took place Saturday near the Granada Hills home of Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The shooting took place around 6:21 p.m. in the 17900 block of Mayerling Street, police said.

A DA’s investigator opened fire at two people in a vehicle wanted for carjacking, the LAPD said. No one was struck and the suspected carjackers were not caught, police said.

There were no reports of Lacey being involved, the LAPD said.

Lacey’s office did not offer comment but said that the DA is doing fine.

No other information was immediately available.
