A pedestrian was killed in the area of Calino Avenue and Puente Avenue in Baldwin Park early Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle. Police are now searching for that driver.

Police say the pedestrian was a woman who died at the scene but did not reveal her identity.

The pedestrian was pushing a cart when they were hit by a driver in a truck, according to NBC4’s Mekahlo Medina. Police continue searching for any details on who that driver might be and where that truck could be.

A stretch of Puente Avenue just south of the 10 Freeway will be shut down until further notice for the investigation.
