The USL game between Galaxy II and Orange County SC on Friday, Aug 7, has been postponed due to “multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Galaxy II organization,” the teams announced Tuesday.

The game will be rescheduled for a later date.

This is the second game the Galaxy II has had to postpone this season due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests. The first was a July 29 game against San Diego Loyal when 11 players tested positive.

Orange County SC had its game with the Sacramento Republic postponed last week, but not because positive coronavirus tests within the teams.

As of now, OCSC’s next game is set for Aug. 15, and the next Galaxy II game is scheduled for Aug. 12 against Phoenix Rising FC.

USL had its restart to the season in home markets and players and staff are tested weekly.

Since the restart, Galaxy II has won two of its three games. OCSC has played Phoenix Rising FC twice since the return to action. One game ended in a 1-1 draw and OCSC won the other meeting, 1-0, on July 25.
